Yet Another Gift Opening

Now that Mabe' has aired out her rants about the party, I can now post Zoei's gift opening photos. So we laid out all the presents on the floor, dress Zoei up with her birthday gown and started shooting. We're grateful for everyone's gift. Thank you! Zoei loved them all. Let the photos speak for themselves...

Later that day, Zoei had a chance to play outside the house. It was a lot of first times for her that day. It was her first time to play at the street, first time to ride on a sidecar and first time to have a scratch on her knee. But she couldn't care less, she was free! =D

Concrete Pipe

Across the street of our new house in Jubilation is a sewer concrete pipe. I thought it would be a nice prop to use for a pictorial. So when some of Mabe's relatives visited us during Christmas day I grabbed my camera, pocket wizards and flash and started shooting.

Juancho and Rachelle
Monet

Raynor and Belen
Biboy and Sheila
During our 2 weeks vacation, my younger brother, sister and nephew would pay us a visit. On one of those visits I decided to have a little fun shoot. It wasn't easy being a model and photographer at the same time. =)

My brother, Remil and my sister, May.

Even Zoei, in her funny hairdo, joined in.

Mother and son, May and RA.
I wish I brought a second flash and an umbrella. I could have taken a cool family portrait inside that concrete pipe. Well, I just hope it's still there when we come back in 2 years. =)

Zoei @ 11 Months

It's that time of the month again. No, I'm not talking about period. I'm talking about my baby's monthly photo shoot. She's in her 11th month now. Almost walking, but still prefers crawling. She can make 10 steps before she realizes that crawling is easier and faster.

This time I planned on giving her a ballerina look. We got her a tutu and ballet shoes but couldn't find a top that will go well with the outfit. What we did find is a butterfly wing. Perfect!

Zoei looked like she had fun during the photo shoot. Well, she did... for about 3 minutes. She hated that tutu. I think it was itchy. She probably would have been more comfortable if I listened to Mabe' and dressed her with leggings. =)

Layan

Layan, according to babynames.com, means soft and gentle. That's exactly how I describe this beautiful baby. She almost never cried when we did her photo shoot. I think it was my fault that she did. I kinda jinxed it when I noticed her being quiet and telling it to Mommy Hana. =)

Layan is only a month old but as you can see in these photos she looks tall for her age. And she really is. Thanks to the good genes of Daddy Tariq and Mommy Hana.

 Sleeping like a baby... (literally)

And then I jinxed it. Oops...

Daddy Tariq had to comfort her...

Aunt Mai entitled this "The Thinker". I wonder what she's thinking. Hmmm...

Congratulations Daddy Tariq and Mommy Hana! Layan will surely grow up to be a beautiful and loving daughter. =)

The Amazing Valeria!

No, she's not a magician. But she is amazing!

Valeria Baigacheva is an artistic performer based here in Dubai, UAE. She does what I call "acrobatic stuff". You know, the kind of stuff you see in the circus. And I love watching circus. Who doesn't? That's why I got excited when I got a  call from her to do a photo shoot of her new act.

It's not the first time I've seen her perform. Last year, I did a photo shoot of her doing an acrobatic duo act, juggling and unicycling.

This time, she did a solo aerial act. It's like having my own private circus show. How awesome is that?! =)

I love her costume here. It reminds me of Mary Poppins, one of my favorite films when I was a kid. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

What's more amazing is that she makes her own costumes! You can find more about her here. And if you ever decide to hire her for your next event, don't forget to tell her you got her details from me. ;-)
